MOLD | SPRING 2018

HG SPRING 18  –  SALON COLLECTION  – MOLD –

THE INSPIRATION

The Salon Collection ‘Mold’ reflects how traditional use of heat have become a source of inspiration, for many modern fashion brands. Molding is the process of manufacturing by shaping raw material using a rigid frame called a mold.

THE FASHION

The heat  melts the fabric and within seconds of the material cooling, a molecular new bond between the two parts is formed. Compression molding is a manufacturing process in which three-dimensional shapes are created using heat and pressure.

This metallic ”space fabric” are created using 3-D printed techniques, that add different functionality to each side of the material. The “molded fabrics” continue to develop and inspire, international fashion today.

THE HAIR

From punk and goth to raver and grunge styles, the same pattern is seen again and again – a tiny group forms and is recognized for their uniqueness, then the style grows in popularity – right now the late 90’s haircuts, brush shoulders with the early 80’s styling techniques.

SALON CUTTING TECHNIQUE

Through techniques that appear invisible, natural and effortless results are achieved. The shapes are geometric, clean and versatile giving texture to the exterior. 3-D Printing Styling techniques with combine heat and pressure, to the interior shape, create natural texture.

SALON COLOURING TECHNIQUE

Classic highlighting and foil-work techniques are a must. The interior shape is exaggerated  with all-over colour; the exterior shape is softened with graduated tones.

SALON COLOUR PALETTE

This season’s Colour Palette is inspired by cold and hot metals. Cool brown is applied to the interior shape with soft copper to the exterior. Cool brown, soft gold, dusty copper, cool blonde with aged red.

SPIKED | WINTER 2018

SLICKED | AUTUMN 2017

HÅRGÄNGET | SALON COLLECTION | SLICKED & SPIKED |AUTUMN  2017 & WINTER 2018

The HG AUTUMN 2017 & HG WINTER 2018 collections are a collaboration with photographer Henrik Korpi. These looks are divided into two distinct sub-collections:

SLICKED – NEW ROMANTIC-GLAM GOTH – AUTUMN 17

SPIKED – NEW ROMANTIC-GLAM PUNK – WINTER 17

SLICKED & SPIKED are gently inspired by the New Romantic movement that originated in the United Kingdom in the early 1980s. The movement emerged from the nightclub scene in London at venues such as Billy’s and The Blitz.

SLICKED & SPIKED blend the New Romantics ideas of flamboyant, eccentric fashion inspired by fashion boutiques such as PX in London and Kahn and Bell in Birmingham.

“This season you can customize your hair, in the same manner as you customize your clothes and accessories”says Luca Dazzi HG Creative Director.

THE FASHION:

The NEW ROMANTIC-GLAM GOTH trends that is so popular now has also brought a new, feminine side to these foreboding SPIKED accessories. We always love to see a how a classic is revamped in a great new way, and we are really onboard with this trend. New styles have emerged that have long, slender spikes that almost look like headpieces and cast spiked jewellery in a sophisticated, edgy light.

THE HAIR:

“The hair code for the next season is strictly extra slicked or extra texture, the sizes are XS or XL” says Luca Dazzi HG Creative Director.

CUTTING TECHNIQUE (HG CUTTING TEAM)

SLICKED & SPIKED showcase “Concentric Layers”, as the latest cutting technique, always easy to adapt to any individualistic needs.

COLOUR TECHNIQUE (HG COLOUR TEAM)

This season colouring technique is “Blending”, which is a fusion of  natural base colours and un-natural colours, placed in the middle section of the hair length.

ACID NATION | S/S 2017

HÅRGÄNGET | SALON COLLECTION | ACID NATION S|S 2017

ACID NATION is inspired by the youth subculture, that grew out of the Acid House movement, of the late 1980s, into a global phenomenon later on.

The scene embraces the four pillars of the rave scene, Peace, Love, Unity and Respect (PLUR).

“It’s a radical spirit, not a hair trend. Sometimes it’s a glorious mess, other times, it transmits style in perfect waves”says Luca Dazzi HG Creative Director.

THE FASHION:

Since raves kicked off in late1980s, fashion trends have gone through countless evolutions. Clothing is vibrant and alternative, in recent years, designers like Jeremy Scott and Roberto Piqueras have harkened back, to the psychedelic explosion of the “Raver-Chic” look.

THE HAIR:

“The hair code for the next season is strictly mid-1990’s” says Luca Dazzi HG Creative Director.

The HG S|S 20117 collection is a collaboration with photographer Henrik Korpi and divided into three distinct sub-collections:

ACID NATION – SUNSET – The Beginning.
Polished and contemporary hair, with a mid-1990s feeling.
Inspired by the legendary Balearic foam parties at Club Amnesia, Ibiza in the early 1990’s.

ACID NATION – MIDNIGHT – The Upload.
The looks are styled as a glorious mess or a brushed out wave.
The music is more twisted and the hair is getting messy and dirtier.
The air is colder, music locked on and tuned in at a secret location.

ACID NATION – SUNRISE – The Crescendo.
A blurred Acid yellow backdrop, where colours and experimental shapes join forces.
This is where hair and warped bass-lines meet.

CUTTING TECHNIQUE (HG CUTTING TEAM)

ACID NATION showcases “Overlapping Layers”, as the latest cutting technique, always easy to adapt to any individualistic needs.

COLOR TECHNIQUE (HG COLOUR TEAM)

This season colouring technique takes its cues from “Rectangular Panels”.
